The attached PDF is a controversial piece I wrote a long time ago on the use of disclaimers in mentalism and magic.
There
are some attitudes and typos in the old writing I would change a bit today. I have left it as is however, so you can see my heartfelt intentions and thoughts when it comes to using disclaimers.
My hopes are that this essay will help you find your own best way to use a disclaimer in mentalism or magic, without having to lose the power of artistic expression in your performance.
By the way, even if you perform for one friend only, it is still a performance. You have real influence when you perform, so consider please what you are saying when you do perform.
