A few people asked me what I thought about a new Tarot reading TRICK. I said that things like that are the reason the Inner Sanctum exists...to keep deeper things away from those kinds of people. I am SO tired of people with no or very poor Tarot training selling more ignorance about Tarot performance to the uninformed for profit. Don't learn from other mentalists and magicians who just want to sell you things.
The excuse people who
sell such claptrap make is that, "Tarot is all made up, so I can make up whatever I want and sell it to ignorant people too."
It is a bit like saying, "All history is made up by the victor of wars, therefore since all history is made up, no one will dispute that Abraham Lincoln was the first president of the United States." In case you don't know, Lincoln was not the first president of the U.S.
This is the same sort of logic and excuse for lazy people
who don't want to be bothered learning something before they sell it to others.
It seems the excuse, and the poor buying habits of ignorant people, is all that is needed to justify selling things to mentalists and magicians. Today experience and practicality does not matter. Selling things to each other is what counts.
Little wonder magic and mentalism is getting dumbed down, and real teachers are retreating to exclusive schools to teach the Few Who Care rather than the
many who sell to each other rather than truly learn.
