There is a lot of talk right now about how a trick marketed as L.O.V.E. is incredibly similar to the LOVE effect written by Kenton in his eBook
ANTI-TADA a couple of years ago. (Even the titles are almost precisely the same...in all capital letters, just no periods.)
Kenton has been demonstrating his
LOVE effect for performers for the last ten or eleven years, and noticed that around that time similar graphics made around this idea surfaced on the Internet.
The new company marketing an effect called L.O.V.E. said they did not know about Kenton's work, and they and Kenton are trying to work things out. Kenton won't get any money for this, but he may at least get some credit, after the fact. The basic ideas, without the subtleties, are the same. The marketed method uses gimmicks.
Kenton's original method uses simple sleight of hand and psychology (well, and deeper meaning of course).
We know this situation made a lot of you angry. You let us, and many others know how you felt about this on Facebook, Twitter and in emails.
We're tired of Kenton's work being marketed and "borrowed" by others too, consciously or not.
Kenton however asks that we wait to find out how this gets resolved before everyone gets too crazy over the situation. He's asking
people to keep a calm mind.
That said, Kenton wanted us to forward an email from him to all of you about this current controversy and other related issues. Here it is as follows:
