Luca's The Stone of Destiny
This is very close to real mentalism. Forget using tricky devices to attempt
to tell which hand someone holds an item...use TWO objects and tell
someone which hand holds EACH ITEM.
A participant selects two different stones and hides one stone in
each hand. One hand is placed behind their back and the other hand is
held out in front of their chest. No stones can be seen and the
performer need not be anywhere near the person. The performer offers a little reading about the stones chosen, and THEN TELLS THE PERSON WHICH HAND EACH OF THE STONES ARE IN.

performer has the participant imagine that they are walking through a
casino and will use their single poker chip to bet on a game of poker.
The performer has the participant name a poker hand and card suit. They settle on one card as being needed to make
the perfect hand. The performer tells the participant to imagine that
the poker dealer is dealing them the winning card.
After vividly imagining every detail of this casino experience,
the participant opens their hand to find that they have a poker chip in
their hand with THE NAME OF THEIR IMAGINARY WINNING CARD WRITTEN ON THE CHIP!
As Pablo correctly states, this isn't simply an incredible trick, it is an experience to be remembered. You will love the psychology and wordplay in this seemingly fair and dramatic effect. Sure, you may occasionally erase a bit of memory, but what will they know?
