BACKLASH 2011 Is Here!
For decades Kenton Knepper and Mark Townsend have featured BACKLASH in their acts, television appearances, close-up and on stage.
Backlash has become a staple which Kenton holds in esteem equivalent to his Kolossal Killer. This does NOT use any similar method to KK however.

What is BACKLASH?
There is much to say about it, and so many ways to apply it, but we'll give you a brief example.
A spectator writes or hides a playing card in his pocket. Random spectators are chosen by this spectator who then name color, suits, numbers, and so on until the thought of card is revealed by what the audience names!
The performer acts mainly as a guide and interpreter of a "system of synchronicity" but does not touch any cards chosen by the audience, if indeed any cards are used. Sometimes the card traits are simply called out and it all happens "not just hands off but only in the minds of the audience."
Oh yes, once last thing. After this stunning set of circumstances, the performer reveals that he knew all along what the card would be. The plush toy used to select random people is opened to reveal the name of the card the spectator had in mind. This is a real mind-twister. The audience feels a sort of mental whiplash of logic, and it is from this overwhelmingly strange sensation that "Backlash" gets its name.
More Than Cards
Physical cards are used in some versions, and in other versions no physical cards are used at all. Once you learn the principles of Backlash 2011 you can apply the system to words selected, drawing duplications, readings, numbers - almost anything in truth.
