The Amazing Kreskin
has passed.
Not an easy thing to have to say. Kreskin was an inspiration to so many of us. That's me pictured with Kreskin back in my late teens.
Kreskin said, "Kenton, is that your real name?"
I replied that it was indeed.
"Then you should
keep it. You were born with a stage name! Use it, just like that; KENTON."
And so I did.
I was recently telling a friend and student of mine how seeing Kreskin back then was a lesson in mentalism. It made books and theories come alive for me.
Last year on his birthday I was able to tell Kreskin that even though I was known as the "Wonder Words guy" he was always the better worker of linguistic suggestion. That is
true.
Thank you Kreskin, for your wild daring, handshakes, enthusiasm, encouragement, and presentations. I will always be grateful for you, and will never forget your influence on me, and forever on mentalism too.
