Magic tricks today are about selling to magicians and mentalists. They are designed to impress you and fool you - you who buy magic. That's not ever been what I am all about. If I sell a trick it is because it is designed to fulfill a real need in magic and mentalism. One of the telltale signs I notice about most magic and mentalism tricks is that they are designed
by people who have selling as their main relationship to magic. They have "names" in magic and mentalism, but mostly because they are dealers. These people know they sell magic "toys." They know it, but you don't. So they create tricks you'll buy...but they miss things wiser people in audiences would not miss. Don't get me wrong. I love magic dealers and have many friends who do that. It's just different than what I
do. I design things to make an impression on REAL AUDIENCES. That's why I am able to give you powerful subtle details others can't. I understand how a real person would question and respond to a presentation. I design an effect and working based on real world experience. Kolossal Killer wasn't created to sell as a trick. It was created because it filled a need of mine in close-up
performing. Wonder Words filled needs for my students to do more with less. Completely Cold filled a need for people to do readings quickly, without memorized stock lines. So if you want to know my secret, here it is: I sell things that make a difference and fill needs, not just make sales. Does that make me a
poorer man in magic sales? Sure does. But it makes me and those who buy from me richer in spirit. It makes the arts of magic and mentalism better, not cluttered up with more junk. So that's my secret, and why I offer anything for sale. Keep that in mind please, when looking for new tricks.
