Being a great communicator and influencer can make people line up and beg you to take their money. I’ve seen it happen with my own eyes.
It can get you to be in amazing romantic, family and business relationships. For example, I’ve seen numerous couples who are joyful in their romantic relationship by using the power of influence.
Influence impacts every facet of our lives. Politics, news, medicine, lobbying, teaching, mentoring, and management is successful ONLY when effective influence skills are used. Whether you realize it or not... influence is all around you like air.
However, most people are terrible at influencing others. Absolutely terrible. Then they wonder why life hasn’t given them what they deserve. It is no mystery your inability to influence others is hampering your ability to fulfill your dreams.
So, what do you do when you realize you are the one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest? If you are like most people you end up reading books or taking some form of training on how to be a better influencer. You read books such as How to Win Friends and Influence People. You take courses in NLP. Some people lie, cheat and try to figure out a way to screw the other person to win. And on and on it goes but to no avail.
The sad truth is almost all influence, communication and sales training (even from the “experts”) focuses mostly on Verbal Communication. Most people believe that speech is still our main form of communication.
Listen, speech has been part of our communication repertoire only in recent times in evolutionary terms. It is mainly used to convey facts and data. But because we focus on the words people speak, most of us are largely uninformed about the non-verbal language of influence, let alone its extreme importance in our lives.
Albert Mehrabian, a pioneer researcher of human communication, found that the total impact of a message is about 7 percent verbal (words only) and 93% of communication is nonverbal.
Even if you master the verbal skills of influence, you’re still using only 7 percent of communication power.
You are deliberately neutering your ability to impregnate your dreams, hopes and desires into reality. You are infertile.
Here is the good news.
Did you know that you can influence people to do almost anything you want them to do without saying a word?
I call it Silent Influence.

In recent times, silent-movie actors like Charlie Chaplin were the pioneers of silent influence, as this was the only means of communication available on the screen back in his time. (By the way mime-school is not the answer to mastering Silent Influence.)

I discovered Silent Influence by accident in my study of mentalism when I was 8 years old. I was forced to use it to outwit and outsmart kids who would bully me in my childhood.
As I grew older, I honed these skills in my training in mentalism and secret mesmerism. Over the last 40 years, I coached under a mysterious mentor whose name I will never be able to reveal.

Look, the key to effective persuasion and influence is transparency and honesty. True persuasion does not attempt to trick the listener. Learning to effectively influence others by providing solid persuasive communication can improve job performance and self-esteem and lead to leadership positions both in the community and in the workplace. Persuasion should be used to help and not hurt. It should not be abused by permitting the speaker to present false information in the hopes of
persuading an audience.
